Tea in India is an essential part of everyday lives . It is a beverage easily available and is enjoyed by people of all economic and social strata . I remember while working as an engineer in a manufacturing plant , We had a small shop (called Gaada in the local language) where tea and snacks used to get served . Being the only stall , it was always crowded from technicians and daily wage laborers to Managers and AGM’s .

In this fast paced life , filled with stress , anxiety, tension ; This small cup slips between the light hearted moments of laughter, gossips and conversation that we have with our friends ,colleagues . During my under-graduation , we had a small tea stall right behind our campus and I remember going there with my friends after the lectures and talking with them for hours about Politics, technology, career and whatnot , and all the conversations started with this one dialogue “Chal chai pi kar aate hain !!” (Lets go and get a cup of tea ) .

It also caters to the diverse taste and needs of its consumers . Ginger Tea, Green tea , Chamomile Tea , Tulsi Tea , Cardamom Tea, Cinnamon tea ,Masala Tea, Kahwa Tea and the list could go on . So much so for diversity right ? .

While today we might not be able to have tea with our loved ones physically (courtesy : Lockdowns ) , We can communicate through virtual platforms like phones , video calls and I thought why not a blog ? . My love for tea and letters gave me the idea of this blog . If you like any topic in particular do let me know and I will try writing on it . Hope so you will enjoy reading it as much as I love writing it . So lets have some tea shall we ?
